Hi, i am trying to connect to a MYSQL database
the database is local, and i have a driver ".jar"
the connection is not working
plus where should i place my .jar file " the driver "
and what is the connection string.
if someone now a working driver please tell me what is
the site so i can download it

The last time I used MySQL, I got the JDBC driver from www.mysql.com

Sorry, didn't answer your question... The Jar file should be in your classpath. The connection URL is "jdbc:mysql://localhost/yourDatabase". And you have to make sure that you have the proper privileges, and is logging in with a valid account name and password.
