I have a simple app that send a selected file from one computer to another computer running a server, and I was hoping to add DES encryption to this process.

SealedObjects fit right in with what I've previously written, but I am confused about how to get the client and server to agree on a symetric key.

I checked out http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Security/JCE/, which was a little helpful, but it didn't cover KeyAgreement and it used only psudocode (stupid international encryption restrictions).

Needless to say, I'm still in the dark about how to get my apps to do this.

Any ideas or places you could point me to?

Much thanks in advance.

You could try to use password based encryption.

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
