I am new to Java and wondered if this is a good starting place for a developer who is new to Java. I've been mostly doing web development via classic ASP, vbscript, and javascript. I've done some C# but have found it to be very different than Java in a lot of instances.

Thanks.

As I mentioned in another post, I wrote this book specifically with beginners in mind! You needn't have had any prior OO experience to read my book ... I assume only the most basic programming expertise (what is a function? what is a variable?) on the part of my readers.

Best regards,

Jacquie
