Give us some context. What do you mean by "prevent Event to be overridden"? The keyword final in a class declaration prohibits subclassing and the keyword final in a method declaration prohibits overriding.

This was an interview question for Java position so what can be the answer

Without a context, it's difficult to tell.
But something declared as "final" cannot be overridden, this might have some relation with your question.

Since only methods, not events, can ever be overridden, you don't have to do anything! The best way to answer the interviewer's question would be to remain perfectly still.
