I'm a bit sick of using the insanely useless HTML textarea for editing complex content. I yearn to be able to click on a button, and a VIM editor appears. when I quit VIM, it will save the contents into the HTML textarea.

Is it possible to do this with Java ? Webstart? Applets? Or something else ?

Thanks
