not able to kill JVM

hi ,
i am running an applet in a jVM . Even after closing the window ,my JVM not get killed
any idea why this is happening and how to kill jvm in such cases

Are you starting any threads with while(true) or for(; ;) loops in them?

Have you tried to kill it through Windows Task Manger (ctrl-alt-delete should bring it up)? This is a pain though, so you should probably focus on why it doesn't exit "nicely".
