can't uninstall java runtime!?!?!?

hey all,

I need to uninstall a copy of Java 2 Runtime SE v1.4.2 from my XP (SP2) machine. I have tried using add and remove programs but i get an error (transform paths).

I do not have a java icon in the control panel.

I've searched and searched through the java site but can't find anything...PLEASE HELP!!

Hi Mark,

Maybe the quickest thing to do could be to reinstall exactlty the same jdk (of course in the same directory ) then immediately try to remove it through control panel.

Sun has an archive of all versions. Let me know if you need the link. (I have to look for it or I'd just post it here...)
