Does javadoc generate the documentation using class files? I mean, without the source files.

Basically I have a vendor API jar file and no source, hence I was wondering if javadoc tool can generate the class and method structure without any added documentation.

Thanks in advance

No. Javadoc is parsed from specially formatted comments in the source code. Have a look here for more on Javadoc. If you want to learn more about a class, you can use reflection to examine the class programmatically.
If all else fails, contact your vendor and beg for support.
