J2EE and jdk

Can someone tell me what j2ee is and what jdk is please?

The jdk means a set of software for creating programs with.
J2EE means Enterprise Edition which is an extension of the normal API to permit construction of large commercial applications. That is very much simplified.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
