Here in snow country, we don't much care about the groundhog seeing his shadow. If all we get is 6 more weeks of winter, that's a win!

Yup, even I don't care much about the shadow and its prediction. But for once, I would love to take a vacation and goto Punxsutawney for the festivities though. Ever been there?

No, but they sure make a big deal of it. It sure looks like fun. Most festivals are. I live in festival town USA. They have a festival around for everything it seems.

Lets see there's the...
Lilac festival
Corn Hill Festival
Puerta Rican Festival
Winter Fest
Buckwheat Festival
Jello Festival???
Octoberfest (just an excuse to drink copious amounts of beer)
Renaissance Festival
Native American Festival
Maplewood Rose Festival
International Spanish Festival
Rochester Irish Festival (just an excuse to drink copious amounts of green beer)
Clothesline Arts Festival
Jewish Film Festival
High Falls Film Festival
Jewish Book Festival
Buffalo`s First National Chicken Wing Festival
Rochester Jazz Festival
Park Ave Festival
Sauerkraut Festival

And my favorite...

Ten Ugly Men Festival

Don't forget the Apple Festival, and East End Festival (another excuse to drink copious amounts of beer).

I'm starting to think that we deal with all this snow by either having a festival or drinking copious amounts of beer!

Duh!

I was deeply offended when I received a personal invitation to play a "important role" in the Ten Ugly Men Festival!
