I really like the West matchups this year. Houston's gonna choke though! I expect to see Phoenix in the Championship but, call me crazy, I have a hunch Seattle or Denver might pull it off.

In the East it's gotta be Detroit or Miami and I don't think Miami has gelled enough to make it.

Detroit over Phoenix!

I am just happy to once again see the Chicago Bulls! in the playoffs. I think that either Detroit or Miami will win it all! The West is strong but Detroit or Miami will prevail!

Go Bulls!

See, there are teams to cheer for in Chicago! (You've also got the White Sox kickin' some butt so far.)

I am actually a Chicago Cubs fan. Nevertheless, I am glad to see that the White Sox are playing great!

I think its going to be either san antonio or Miami or Detroit this time. I would like to see Miami win, but I am afraid Detroit might beat them. San Antonio is good when they well, but we never know. They are like damn old used car, which seems like stopping everytime, but in the end, it takes you there..

I miss the good old lakers, I used to hate them, when they were around, though.

Ben Wallace, from the Pistons, is a phenomenal player. Shaq also looks great with the Heat. Whoever who ever emerges from the Pistons vs. Heat Eastern Conference finals, will win it all!

Which era?

I miss the gold ol' years in the 80s when the Pistons (aka Bad Boys) and the Lakers were the top two. I lived 2 miles from the Pistons' Pontiac Silverdome at the time.

The Lakers have often been a great team to hate (cause they're historically so darn good) much like the Dallas Cowboys were in football or the Yankees in baseball.

And Kishore was right. A day early in the prediction, but still pretty accurate. Houston = choke!

the problems with houston are:

1) they need a good point guard, someone like steve nash. right now they have T-Mac and Yao Ming, two great player, and all the other garage players. how did they spend their salary money? Yao still within his first contract, relatively cheap. Only T-Mac has a big salary, where the rest money went?

2) T-Mac is too selfish. he score a lot a game, but he waste a lot chance, if he can feed Yao Ming more, houston will score more. Yao's percenttage is higher, this has to do with the essential of basketball. it means to be played with a big center, outside shooting should always be 2nd choice. Yao has a lot of skills, if people foul him, he is also a good free thower;

3) problem with nba system, every nba team is an employer, every player is employee. for an employee, once hired, he want to stick to the company, so he has to fight for assignment and task. every nba player fight for play time. once in the court, they tend to display their skills more than win the game

i think houston will have a bunch of trades during off season. except Yao Ming and T-Mac, everyone is possible to be traded.

My gut feeling is Mavs will make(scrap through this round) and they may represent west in the NBA championships, looking at the depth Spurs are showing;barr some injury situations.

Mavs vs. San Antonio will be a Texas showdown. Unfortunately, the Heat are receiving a lot of rest right now. So they will be ready for the Eastern Conference finals and the winner of the West.

My comments were based on how Spurs were playing at Sonics. If they continue playing the same ways, they will be no match for suns or mavs.

I think that the Spurs cannot afford to lose any of the first two games, since games 3, 4, and 5 are in Detroit. If Detroit goes back home with at least one win, then it will probably be over for the Spurs.

I'd like to see the Spurs win. Their series against the Suns was excellent.

Go Spurs!

it is difficult to predict the result. 4 out of 7 games in miami and detroit series came down to the execution of last 4 minutes.

the series between spurs and detroit will be decided psychologically to some extent. i think the winner of game 1 will win the series.

i think detroit is a more complete team, but physically, they just finished off miami, so it may be tough for them to win game 1.

what a game last night.

tim duncan missed 4 free throws, and easy dunk at buzzer to victory.

rashed wallace call time out at the end of game, a technical foul, will cost detroit the game, luckly, time run out before he called the time out.

.....

now heading to san antonio for the last 2 games, detroit trails by one game. seems like they are finished.

but you never knows, detroit most likely will win game 6, then it is game 7. there is no home court advantage for game 7. The better team wins.
