All Indian newspapers are skillfully avoiding about "What India is giving USA in return of this nuclear 'cooperation' ? "
For years,Indian Govt. told us that no need of any foreign help for building reactors.Govt has built many reactors but now what happened?
or was this answer to Air India's purchase order of many Boeings 3/4 months back?
Everything can be hidden under Official Secret Act.

I can assure you that Airbus/some European Governments act exactly the very same way. Actually Airbus was heavily subventioned in its first years. The rationale behind it was to break up global monopol for big passenger airplanes by Boeing.

Better chances for political bargains might even be one important point for the multi-country nature of Airbus. There were heavy diseconomics in logistics, stemming from the multi-country nature some years ago. Don't know if its like that allready.

Tendency to monopol comes from the nature of the business (high development costs, high unit costs). And as Airbus is doing really well now, it might be good to keep second offerer in business. If it is getting to corrupt Asians might build up own big passenger plain industry.

Hmmm, it doesn't seem as bad as it sounds.
They are opening up the "Civilian" installations for inspection. And what's wrong with that? It would ensure that the environment that these installations work in are safe.
Now segregating "Civilian" from "Military" installations would be quite a task
