Need your advice..

In the US, which is considered as one of the best auto insurance companies.. in the sense they don't charge very high, but at the same time, their service is just Great... when it comes to claims and stuff like that..

Your opinion on State-Farm insurance company??

I am with State Farm.

My experience is that they are great. I've had excellent customer service and no issues with them or their policies.

Eg.
I tagged a deer about a year ago and thrashed my car. I forget the exact amount, but it was around $3,000 to fix.

I had my car in a shop, a rental to drive, an estimate of the cost / time to fix it, and help from my agent all within 2 hours of the accident. My cost was a percentage of the rental since it was comprehensive.

I will say to check out your agent. No company is great with a sub-par agent.

If I can help by asking my agent for a recommendation in your area, PM me.

tagged a deer

- hope you put it in the boot, and then cooked some venison when you got home .

I know the motor (auto) insurance companies in the UK rely on their existing customers apathy, they increase the cost after about 2 years. They do this as a lot of people stay with their existing company. Its cheaper to switch every two years.

Well, I live in Pittsburgh, PA which is one of the worst places when it comes to deer and cars. ( at least according to my agent )

I hit that poor deer square in the torso. I'm pretty sure the meat would have either have been ruined from internal damage or so tender it would have won awards.

When my other computer is done defagging, I'll throw a picture up if ya want and I remember. You can still see the fur in the hood and headlight assembly.

My wife works for Safeco, and they are doing a big customer service push (or have been - their last CEO just announced his retirement).

We have State Farm, since i've been with them since i could drive (i'm 37), and my parents have been with them for as long as i can remember.

to know that, you have to been through a lot of accidents!

i think most people just compare the rate from different companies, whichever is the cheapest.

i think the 3 biggest ones are american farmer, state farm, and allstate, i am currently with allstate, for both of my 2 cars, i pay ~$500 per 6 months, with 0 comprehensive deductable.

do not just look at the cheap rate, you should also look at my excellent driving technique and records!
