Strange though it may seem, I find bananas to be the answer. If you've got the worst possible combination of pub lunch, lunchtime beer and afternoon meeting (normally guaranteed to cause an embarrassing snore incident), a banana really does the trick. Must be the potassium or something, but it often makes me feel more awake and ready to survive the meeting.

Chocolate (sugar rush) works as well, but not for as long.

Even better then both of these is the most addictive, unhealthy and much sort after chemical stimulant on the planet - adrenaline. To get a hit of this, leave all your work until the deadline day and then say very loudly to the entire office "If I don't finish all my work by the end of the day then I'll buy a pint for everyone". That'll do the trick.

Oh yeah of course, it will do the trick..
But be assured, rest of the staff is gonna make your chances of completing it, as slim as possible

Apple is now proved to be the best to keep you awake in comparison to caffeine or nicotin, and best it has no side effects.

I guess spending less time on po**n sites and having a full 8 hours sleep will solve all your problems.

If you must take a nap at work, try the following
Open a Java book and lay it on the desk in front of you.
Lean forward with your elbows on your desk and rest your head in your hands
Then if someone wakes you, it will look like you were reading. For added effect, turn to the next page before you turn to talk to the person who woke you.

Sweet dreams!

well,
I found a way to 'let my eyes rest a bit'. I wear partial black sunglasses, to avoid these harmful rays of PC(thats what I say to my PL) and then put on bulky headphone(We have beeen provided with headphones for checking the sounds of our application, but of course I use them for the real purpose they were designed for )...
Then I open the code in editor, with head directed towards PC, and - sweet dreams buddy..

and for that added effect, whenever someone DISTURBS me, i roll the coding down a bit and then turn to answer him/her...

WORKING FOR ME at least
