I am using windows vista I do see that 8080 is not used but due to some security issue in vista not able to open a java port ...... need help to resolve it

I did , that should not be the issue , I want someone to help me , who already succeded in running the Apache tomcat server in Microsoft Windows Vista .

Just leave the errors i am getting which I mentioned in this thread , tell me in few simple steps from scratch so that I can kick start my tomact in windows vista.

Its probably your firewall or anti-virus software that's taking up the socket.
