Hi
I read somewhere that I should download the whole java api onto my computer instead of having to access it online all the time. I couldn't seem to find a download button anywhere on the api page. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance.

Go to this page:
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Click the Download button next to Java SE 6 Documentation

You'll probably need to be logged in to the JavaDevelopment Community aka Sun Java Forums (membership is free).

Although it is good advice to keep a local copy in case your connection or the Sun server fails, there is nothing wrong with going to the online version each time. That's how I do it - online if possible, with a fail-over to my local copy.

In which case it's wise to download the API from a public PC with a faster speed. Otherwise you're busy downloading for days.

Well ok, hours ;)
