Just to clarify, the book is focused on administration and configuration, which is practical information for a developer, administrator, architect, etc. We don't teach you how to code or how to develop in
Java EE.
We do, however, have some code examples in the book. The code examples are typically not intended to teach you how to write Java EE code, but rather to show you how to either do JBoss-specific things in code (such as how to load a JNDI object using the JBoss specific namespaces) or to create an application that can be deployed in order to demonstrate some aspect of server configuration on the deployed application.
If you don't write code, you can download the source code for the book and you don't have to necessarily write or understand any of the code (for the most part). You can just run our build scripts and the applications will be built and deployed for you. You can then play around with the configuration.
