Hi Folks!
Today i passed SCEA 5 part 1! 60%
I want to thank you for the right way you suggested!!!

About exam, i will say all the same things of others that took scea 5, because my experience was exactly like others!
This exam is thought because the questions are long, scenario based and the possible correct answers are more than the right ones!!!
There was a question where, about me, there were NO right answers. For me they were all incorrect!
Many answers become opinions because the questions were more generics.

There is no need to study all specs of JPA, JSF and EJB3 . You have to know the impact of a SUN technology (also Ajax), ALL the advantages and ALL the disadvantages.
The same rulse are valid also for patterns and the separation of concerns.

After completed all the questions, it remained "only" 35 minutes and i started to read again the questions, and every time i changed the answer! This is because reading again, the scenario seems to change... So i stop to re-read the questions and i finished the exam.

About book, i prepared initially for old scea so i used the book "SCEA 310 051 cade roberts" but i think that it's good for scea 5 too.
I bought wizhlabs too and i think that it helped me very very much, also epractize is good. They help you to address on the technologies that you've to know for exam.

Hope this help!
i'm here if you have some question.

thanks to all!
I have 4 years experience with jsp, servlet, some pattern (not all, but this exam helps me to know some other pattern), more than one year experience with jsf and jpa, so i've not spent very time to study for. I think that 3 months - 2 hours every day, but no in the weekends!!! - is sufficient to pass this first step, proved that no programming knowledge is required (but could be very useful)
