Although I�ve not seen any of his Bengali movie, but have seen his Hindi movies.He could easily be rated as one of the best director in Bollywood. Movies like Golmal, Chupke Chupke, Anand etc can be watched again and again , even today. All characters in his movies used to be so simple so real.
Amol Palekar and Hrishikesh Mukherjee together was a treat to watch.It was fun to watch his movies on doordarshan along with family.
BTW, anybody knows what was his last Hindi movie?
