Android discussion forum swamped

First of all many thanks for creating new forums for iPhone and Android.

There are lot of very basic questions being asked in this newly created forum. Can we have a FAQs page for Android too,so that we have a common page for answers?
People(same person) are creating new topic per questions when they can have all of their questions in one topic. Is it because, that way, they have a better chance of winning a copy of the book?

I hope this does not continue like this.

This behaviour is common for book promotions, more so for popular topics.
With respect to the quality of the questions, each post provides one entry into the book promotion and there is no difference between opening a new topic or replying.
We monitor user behaviour and people that abuse the process are excluded from the selection (without notice, without comment)

Our FAQs are in a wiki. Last I checked it, any logged-in member could create/edit a page. Would you like to start the Android FAQ?

Simply put, I dont have the credibility; but I can surely try. I dont have any experience with this; I can list the questions and "possible" answers in a word document, if that can help in any way.

I don't think that Joe was saying that you have to do it alone. He was just saying that since it is a Wiki, anyone can do it.

How about this? If you are volunteering to take a first crack at it... great. Take a shot. Post it in the Android forum (maybe after the promotion has finished). Encourage contributors from the forum to add / fix / etc. And once it becomes more baked, we can look into getting it into the FAQ.
