Found this from
http://markmail.org
package test; @WebService public class MyServiceImpl { @WebMethod(operationName="sayHello") public String test(@WebParam(name="to") String p) { return "Hello " + p; } }
Is the WebParam annotation mandatory?

No. It's a way to provide a different name to a parameter; if "p" is fine for your purposes, then there's no need for this annotation.
