I went shopping last night in a large shopping centre (
Bluewater) and noticed that several shops had their Christmas displays up! In October!
How can this travesty be allowed? It's more then a quarter of a year away for goodness sake. They not only make me completely fed up of Christmas by the time it comes along, but also completely dilutes any Christmas spirit I may have left by spreading it out over so long. Why not just wait until December before putting them up? It would make the festive period so much more special, instead of being just another three or four month long Chinese
water torture of glitter, fake snow and shopping frenzies.
At least they weren't playing those awful Christmas songs, but it won't be long.
