when i am going to opening two tabs of same site as a example when i am loging to my yahoo or gmail or... account i can't open another same type of account in same browser.why is that?
(EX. if i am loged into my yahoo acconut using Firfox i can't log into another yahoo account at same time.)
But if i use another browser it is possible.

Aruna,
Both tabs share the same browser session. Due to that, Gmail and Yahoo think you are already logged in and don't let you login again.

Both the websites you mention use a cookie to keep track of the session. So the answer to your question si that it is a session AND a cookie.
