As I'm about to upload my assignment, I'm just wondering if someone already used the new Nimbus LaF as the default LaF for their GUI.
I don't think I'll be the first to use this LaF in my assignment, since Sun added Nimbus to the JDK/JRE since 1.6.0 update 10.

I didn't use nimbus L&F but you better test it on both windows and unix/linux so that they are indeed the same. Because if you didn't set any L&F, windows will use the windows L&F and unix/linux will use the metal L&F.

May I should use the nimbus L&F in my own gui swing apps.

I am going to use that one, too. Made my GUI look so much better! Supposedly has a small footprint, too. I wasn't setting a look and feel at all, previously. I need to make a few small adjustments to some of my manually impositioned elements but the overall visual is much better.

My GUI scored full marks, so you won't loose points when applying the Nimbus LaF
