Hi!
This depends on what tool(s) you have available to check whether the protocol is HTTP or HTTPS.
If you use a packet sniffer, like Wireshark, then you will probably be able to read and understand the contents of HTTP requests, while with HTTPS requests the contents of requests will be unreadable due to the encryption.
Also, HTTP uses port 80, while HTTPS uses port 443 (default ports, which can be changed).
