ApacheDS is the Apache Directory Server. Not to be confused with the more popular Apache Web Server, which is what we normally refer to simply as "Apache".
Then there's the Apache
Java stuff, some of which is Jakarta. And some of which isn't. And some of which used to be, but isn't now except for reference compatibility. And Apache Commons, which contains some, but not all of the common libraries used by Apache Java/Jakarta projects as well as being useful for general application development.
They
are a bit untidy over there.
The secret of how to be miserable is to constantly expect things are going to happen the way that they are "supposed" to happen.
You can have faith, which carries the understanding that you may be disappointed. Then there's being a willfully-blind idiot, which virtually guarantees it.
