What are possible ways XML used in j2ee WebApplication.Like storing data in to database and for data transfer .Apart from this any other uses are there.

There are countless ways to use XML: configuration and messaging are two very common uses and cover a *lot* of technologies.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
