There are enough mentions of NetBeans here that I hope this is an appropriate question. Is there a way to find the current position in a file? By that I mean the line number and the position in the line. This would be useful for locating errors when the error report includes a line number, aligning comments, etc. Thanks.

Hello, I hope by file you were referring to the source code lines. Please search in Toolbar and click on " View -> Show line numbers". This will List the number line beside your code. Hope this helps

The line and column number are shown in the status line at the lower right.
