Welcome everyone to the new GWT forum! We took the liberty of moving GWT-related posts from the past into this forum.

For those new to GWT, it's essentially a Java framework that compiles into feature-rich web applications. There's two components to most GWT applications: the server side written in Java and compiled to Java, and the client side, written in Java but compiled into Javascript. What sets the GWT framework apart from similar projects is that it provides Java developers with a feature rich Javascript UI. There are a number of extensions and tools out there to grow your GWT applications, and best of all it works as a plug-in in IDE's such as Eclipse.

It is our hope this forum will serve as a new meeting place for GWT developers to discuss issues and issues. I look forward to talking with you all.

Cheers,
Scott Selikoff

No problem, feel free to make suggestions to the Ranch Office forum any time. We read and discuss suggestions often.
