In order to generate wsdl from and to java code, in addition to Axis, what other things do I need ? DO I need to have an application server ? or just a JDK (which version and up) ?

Hi!
In order just to generate Java code from a WSDL, only the WSDL and the WSDL2Java utility program is needed.
If you want to deploy your web service using Axis2, then a servlet container, like Tomcat, should be enough (apart from Axi2 of course).
Best wishes!
