Hi ,

I am trying to download Base Trial of WebSphere Application Server for Windows. On dowloading it prompts me to setup server connection with some options like socket/proxy.

Can you please provide me what i need to provide for setting up the server connection.

Please find the below url for free downloading of WAS V6.1 for your perusal.

Many Thanks,
Meena

This question is about Websphere, not IDEs, moving.

What are we supposed to do with that link? Were you expecting us to download and install Websphere to see if we get the same message? That seems a bit much to ask to me, but maybe you meant something else. But anyway, I think that telling us what the message actually says would be more likely to get an answer.

Hi Peter/Paul

Agreed , issue is relating to WAS and not IDE. But can you please suggest me what all is required for installation,i provided a link in previous message where it prompts to provide the socket/proxy.

If i am not wrong , is it the proxy setting what we used on internet connection, LAN support option ?

Any inputs from you would be a greate help.

Thanks,
Meena

Sorry, I don't use WAS. I moved your post to the Websphere forum because readers of that forum have installed WAS and might be able to help you. But as Paul said, you could help those people help you by posting the exact message/screen you are seeing.
