I found that sun has revised its curriculum of certification for JavaEE 6.

And In the new curriculum, there are two different exams available for web services,

Developing web services using Java technology
Developing Secure Java web services.

Since, I am preparing for sun web services 5 exam. Can some body suggest me which is better J2EE 1.5 or J2EE1.6 for webservices ?

Hi !

As you know, there is no SCDJWS 6.0 yet, I don't think SCDJWS will be updated from JEE5 to JEE6 very soon.

My arguments:

1) SCDJWS 5.0 was released last year (i.e. it's pretty new). NOTE: SCDJWS was released in 2004 and it took 5 years to update it to JEE5.
2) There was no announce of SCDJWS 6.0 beta - and it's a long process after beta announced
3) Because of p.1 -- there are some other exams which probably should be updated first -- for example SCWCD, SCBCD

Disclaimer: I may be wrong 8-)

Best regards,
MZ

Hi !

Sure, I saw that page already.

There is no any mention of SCDJWS 6.0 exam.

Do you have a link to new SCDJWS 6.0 exam objectives ?

Best regards,
MZ

Howdy, Sathiya!

Champion, I guess these are only the courses given by Sun. But, in terms of certification, there's only one certification related to web services. The certifications page only lists one certification related to web services.

The links provided by Sathya are for learning and training not for certification. As far as certification is concerned I still see info about SCDJWS 5 only.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
