Re framing the question .

Can i place application resources file in anyfolder and then place the path in the "classpath" environment variable ? Or is it required that i should place it only under WEB-INF/classes.

I have been reading that we can place it only under WEB-INF/classes.

Thanks

What I know was, the application resource file MUST be in a classpath, so better you try putting the file in any directory and put that dir in CLASSPATH environment variable.

Try this and tell me too.
