Hi Ranchers,

Everybody learns and teaches here as you know.
But it is possible to say that so many persons have dreams of being a programmer/developer.
To my mind, the profession of a teacher is the most honourable profession in the life. Because they can affect to students (positive or negative).
Thus, would you want to be a teacher in a school or college? (cordial)

Thanks,

@OP : Learning and Teaching is a heart of every field , not only to the profession of a teacher .

At my previous employer, I did present a few Java courses. I did enjoy being the course leader, and I think I'm suited for that job.

However, I wouldn't want to be for example a highschool teacher who has to keep all those wild kids disciplined...

Back in the mid 90's, I worked as a Java instructor and trainer, first for the University of California, and then as an independent contractor. It is very hard work! I enjoyed it while I was doing it, but I'm glad I don't do it anymore.

I like teaching, I used to teach my classmates C++, Java etc in School and in College. If some day I'm fed up of development, I'll go into teaching

Teaching is great. I love doing that.

Being a teacher sucks. I have done that. Being a teacher requires you to spend 50% or more of your time NOT teaching - lesson plans, attendance, discipline issues, paperwork, meetings, etc.
