Hi,

I worked in developing ActiveX components using c# to support some extra functionality at script level for Internet Explorer.
It was an ActiveX DLL.
Is the same possible using Java, like creating a JAR/library by which I can expose the Java objects as JavaScript entities?
To what extent Applets are helpful in this?

Thank you

You could embed an invisible applet on the page (maybe an applet that is 1 by 1 pixels large); then JavaScript can call public methods in that applet through a facility called "LiveConnect". See the AppletsFaq for some more detail on that.

Too difficult a question for "beginning". Moving thread.
