Guys,

I'm looking for an Application Transaction Framework using JDBC connection pooling. Any suggestions? I do not want to use Spring. Is there any alternative that I can try out of the box...??

You could have expected the following question: why not?

I'll try my luck in the SourceForge projects for such a framework. Anyways, if anyone can suggest me something... I'll be thankful to you!

What should the framework do? The fact that a Google search for that phrase comes up empty should tell you something.

Completely agree that google would give me the results. But my intention of asking here is to know from any ranchers who might have already used any such framework.

The framework should actually create connection pooling, start and close transactions.

Re-read my post - I said that a search does NOT come up with any results. Which indicates that there is no such thing as an "Application Transaction Framework".

The framework should actually create connection pooling, start and close transactions.

There are any number of connection pooling frameworks like C3PO and DBCP, and transactions are handled via setAutoCommit/commit/rollback - so the question remains: what should this framework do?
