I support a 3rd party application. Our vendor told us they have a new custom feature ready for us to test. A significant number of people on our team are debating where we should test it...

We have a TRAIN environment that is supposed to be a perfect mirror of how PRODUCTION works. New users are taught how to use the software on this, so that when they go to use the real thing, they have seen exactly how it works.

We also have a TEST environment, that is supposed to be used to test stuff.

Guess which one everyone but me wants to use?

Fred,
Is there something significantly different about the feature that people want to test in TRAIN? Otherwise, I fail to see what the debate could be about!
