Hi Everyone,

How can i access audio meta tag using a Java application. I want to add a new meta tag named as "Speed" to an audio file. Is there any supporting Java library to access audio meta tag ?

What type of audio file is it? Meta tags for WMV and MP3 for instance are quite different.

Thanks Rob. I did it using org.farng.mp3 package.
But in my application (an application to generate spectrogram) it reads only .wav files. So is there any other library to access the tags of a .wav audio file or a supportive library to convert mp3 into a .wav file.

I don't think WAVE supports tags. JLayer claims it can convert MP3 into WAVE; just scroll down a bit.

Thanks Rob,
Now all are going well. I used JLayer converter to convert MP3 to Wave. It is very easy to use.
