A friend told me he suggested me not to use standard JQuery library, but a smaller version -- I am a beginnner -- Do You know what he was talking about? Can You comment? Love.

The jQuery library is packaged in two ways: uncompressed and minified.

The minified version has been run through a program that decreases the size of the library, but makes the code rather unreadable. The minified version is suggested for production code because you don't need to read the jQuery code at that point, and the download footprint is smaller.
