SCJP question

Hi everyone,

I am currently getting a degree in Computer Science from a 4-year university and my question is would there be any significant benefit in getting the SCJP certification? Would that be a valued resume builder next to my degree? or will the degree be enough?

Not a black and white answer I'm afraid. Some people claim that it really does assist your CV but I work with a guy who claims in his last place of work, they practically ignored it altogether.
Personally, I think it can't possibly do any harm having it on your CV but whether it's worth the £150~ exam fee is open for debate.

SCJP certification is meant for knowing the java language very well
and when you know something very well
you can atleast start thinking programming concepts very well
I am also a student of BE in IT currenly in last year
I did the certification last month
and I find it really helpful for the basic knowledge about the java language
I recommend you do the ceritification

I agree with Prasad, the exam helps you get to know the java language better. If the goal is only to put it on your CV, I don't think it will have a very large impact...
