I have read the following line in so many books.

If the request is Multipart request

what it mean actually?

Simple request packet holds data in name/value pair and which is string. A multipart request is such a request which can hold any form data(multipart/form-data) and File. This is mainly used for file uploading purpose. Another use is sending mail with attachment etc.
