I would like to schedule a task so that it runs at a particular time everyday. My choice is to go for quartz timer framework. We would like to have this job run automatically (meaning auto start) as soon as the application is deployed.

I came across the below serverside article

http://www.theserverside.com/news/1377023/Using-the-Quartz-Enterprise-Scheduler-in-J2EE

In that they mentioned, Configure your server to allow User Threads. May I know how can this be configured in netbeans or in WAS 5.1?

Thanks and Regards,
Rajshan

I believe user threads are enabled by default in WAS 5
not sure about netbeans

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
