In my prometric profile theres is a magic word "Passed" (before it was "Tested"), although official results of this exam is still on their way.
For me this exam was horrible, because there were about 20-25% of unrelated to JPA questions, primarily EJB questions.

For preparation I used this list of topics taken from their site:

Design a Java application that uses a RDMS
Create basic JPA Entity classes
Utilize Entity classes by creating code that uses the EntityManager API
Use JPA relationships
Use advanced JPA features
Ensure data integrity by using Transactions and Locking
Apply Entity Listeners and Callback Methods
Create error handling code
Optimize database access
Configure and package JPA Entity classes in enterprise modules
Java Persistence Criteria API
Java Persistence Query Language

As a hint I can say that there were lots and lots of questions on Criteria API

Hi Everyone,

I am interested in taking up the JPA certification and need advice.

What would be the best reading material for the exam? I am guessing there are no study guides yet.

What about mock exams and sample questions? Please share with me any information that you think may be useful.

Thank you.

Are there any mock exams for the JPA certification?

I'm willing to go for this certification but it seems that there is a huge lack of proper info regarding the exam topics and the study materials. It was never the same with the Sun exams. What happened here??

Hi, I just cleared the exam with 95%.

The best guide I've found was the EJB 3.1 specification. Another helpful resources are Ivan Krizsan guide and the SCBCD links in this site.
