I am reading a book about
java
and I have the following question.
Why import java.awt.* is different from import java.awt.event.* ?
Both these imports are being used in a sample program in the book.
Thank you.

http://download.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/package/usepkgs.html
Especially the section subtitled "Apparent Hierarchies of Packages"
In fact, you probably need to go through the entire "Packages" trail

luck, db
There are no new questions, but there may be new answers.
