distributed caching is the ultimate solution for the issues like performance and scalability. distributed cache in in-memory and distributed over multiple servers so it not only resolves the performance issues but also scalability issues specially when applied in a larger web garden where classic asp.net cache cant work because of tis stand alone and in process nature. A distributed cache basically reduces the expensive trips to database which result in the improvement of app response time. NCache is a famous third party distributed cache provider with a wide range of caching topologies.
