How to show the file path even then click on the upload button

i used <ice:inputFile..... >

When i click on upload button, path of the file which i browsed been not showing in the input textbox.

How can i persist this path in the input textbox.

I need this requirement urgently. please help me out.

You have no control over that. That dialog box is built into the web browser, which usually is building it from the built-in File Open dialog of the operating system that the client is running under. The only way to override that behavior is to modify the user's web browser itself.

You should also be aware that Internet Explorer typically sends a directory path along with the filename when it uploads to a web server, but most other browsers do not. This is actually a security problem with IE, since it tells others things about the client's local filesystem structure that they probably shouldn't know.

Is there any other way to browse a file and persist the path in the input text-box using icefaces.

No. If you think your server needs the full path of a file on a client machine, you should revise your design so that isn't a requirement any more.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
