I am looking for the java openings at entry level also preparing for the OCJP 6..

To what extent a certifiaction can help for job. Or it is more important to gain demanded skills of job market like Struts , hibernate, etc.

Certifications might (at most) help in getting you shortlisted for the interview. At the end of the day, it is what you know and not what some documents declare you know. If you are thinking obtaining a certification will automatically get you a job, then it's not so.

I would suggest go for technologies which interest you. Do not just focus on the market demand.
