Hi,

Is there somewhere a description of the sample project in the Monkhouse book (Denny's DVD rental)? Like what one would get from Oracle? I know there is a lot in the book, but it seems a bit scattered. It would be good to have one 'complete' description, so one would know what the starting point for the project is.

Thanks,

John

Develop a complete application with a simple GUI, a network layer and a database layer which can run in network mode (multi threaded environment) as well as standalone mode, based on a given set of requirements.

That's all?? Ok, thanks Roel. I find it quite difficult to follow that book, seems there is a lot of stuff I need to get familiar with.

Yes, that's all! And believe me: you'll have plenty to do (I've spent 5 months - only evenings and weekend - developing this application)

Ah yes, from what I have read so far it doesn't seem easy.

I guess the Monkhouse book provides some software design examples that we should follow for the exam. I hope reading this book carefully will help me to pass the SCJD.
