Spash scrren appears for while and close automaticly in eclipse

Hi,
whenever I click on the eclipse(shortcut icon) to open Eclipse Ide.splash screen appers for 1 sec and close automaticly.
can please any one help me on this.I am not able to proceed without this.

Well, that's how splash screens are supposed to work. Pop up, hang around for a while, then close.

From the sound of it, however, Eclipse is abnormally terminating, because the Eclipse screen hangs around for quite a while and it displays a progress bar.

Look in your workspace .metadata directory. I believe you will find a logfile directory there.
 
I don't get it. A whale wearing overalls? How does that even work? It's like a tiny ad wearing overalls.
