JBoss as 7.1.1 Server starts but deployment does not work - Have to reboot machine

Hi,

I am trying to migrate my application from jboss4 to jboss 7. 2 days back it was deploying the application. To add JMS support I added queues to standalone-full.xml.
Now I am facing a weird problem. My Jboss starts, I can see the admin control. Queues are also created but no application, even a simple one gets deployed.
It is also not giving any error in the server.log file.
If I reboot the server and start jboss deployment happens. At one place I am getting NPE and hence stopping server using ctrl+c. After that if I try to run server again deployment does not work.
Not sure if any binding remains and not getting cleaned.

What exact changes have you done to your standalone configuration file and what exactly are the contents of the deployment directory?

Hi,

My deployment directory contains ear file for the application, mysql connector jar file.
In standalone-full.xml, in JMS section I have added the queues in standalone-xml file under jms section as
<jms-queue name="SynchronizeFolderJobs">
<entry name="queue/SynchronizeFolderJobs"/>
<entry name="java:/SynchronizeFolderJobs"/>
</jms-queue>

These queues are getting created after which deployment does not proceed further.

For deployment scanner scan interval is 1000 and deployment timeout is 2000.
scan-interval="1000" deployment-timeout="2000"

No other change is done.

One more thing. I found a similar issue on net where in the log it is showing that scanning directory for deployment but starts services and do not deploy.
There conclusion was a space issue.
I checked my server. /home directory is 73% filled. My jboss is running from /home/sdeshpande/jboss7.1
Do you think that space can be a problem where after first deployment it is not cleaning some of the resources which get cleaned after server reboot and it starts working?
